After Roland’s invitation to take part in a survey on augmented reality and wearable technologies in education, I would like to shed some more light on the project behind the survey – the Wearable Experience for Knowledge Intensive Training (WEKIT) project. The three-year research and innovation project is supported under Horizon 2020 and brings together thirteen consortium partners representing academia and industry from six countries in Europe. The next big step in computing and interaction?

I recently attended an Intel Game Dev Meetup at Microsoft’s German dependency in Cologne. Main attraction was Intel’s new suite of sensor enabled camera modules, which While devices with integrated front and rear cameras, touchscreen and touch-based gestures and movements became mainstream in human-computer interaction, computers will now become a lot more emotional and interaction will be even more natural.
